Iceland is an ultramodern country with an abundance of wealth, (not only in monetary, natural and cultural perspectives) but also in friendliness and landscapes. From puffin spotting, icebergs, glaciers, thousands of waterfalls, volcanoes, geysers, fjords, modern and historic Reykjavik and the black beaches of Vik, you cannot believe the bounty of experiences and sights. Our trip was to be done on a shoestring in a country renowned for it’s extremely expensive economy. Armed with 2 suitcases (containing a tent and food) we hired a car and drove around the entire country in just 10 days! It was a mind-blowing and unforgettable experience I am sure we shall replicate again someday.
